“She has been the leader of our program since her freshman year. Her talent and work ethic combined rival no one’s. Hayden Gunter
Denton High School #️⃣5️⃣6️⃣
Hayden is the left offensive tackle for his 🏈 team. He has committed to play football for Stanford University and hasn’t given up a single sack against his quarterback. Lineman like Hayden represent humility and selflessness. They block to protect or block to move the defender out of the way so their teammate can score. They rarely get the accolades but play a key role in their teams success.
“Hayden is the epitome of a high school student/athlete. He lives with conviction. He knows who he is and what he believes in. He works harder than any kid I have ever been around. Weight room, classroom, locker room: he is committed to making himself and his teammates better than they were yesterday. We have been privileged to see Hayden emerge as a leader within our program and are excited to see how he commands the future.”
Coach Billy Miller (HC Denton High School)
Hayden’s favorite verse is 2 Timothy 1:7 “For the Spirit God does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self discipline.” He repeats this verse everyday because we need a daily reminder to not be timid.
